CranioSarcral Therapy is a hands on therapy that releases tension deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction with the goal of improving whole body health.
CranioSacral therapists use soft touch, no more than 5 grams to release restrictions in the soft tissue that surround the central nerve system. Due to its ability to increase the body’s resistance to disease and help with a wide range of issues that are associated with pain and dysfunction, CranioSacral
Therapy is being used as a preventive health measure.
Medical massage therapy involves the use of several advanced manual therapy techniques including myofascial release, deep tissue massage, neuromuscular therapy, therapeutic stretching, manual lymphatic drainage and structural integration.
These therapies are combined to provide relief of pain and increase in performance for injured areas due to athletic performance or surgical procedures.
Patients suffering from whip lash, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff issues, tennis elbow, plantar fasciitis, and sciatica also find relief from medical massage techniques.
LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE THERAPY
For treatment of mild to moderate swelling, recovering from a sports injury, or optimizing your lymph system for stronger immunity. By freeing vessel pathways, lymphatic massage can help retrain the lymph system to work better for more long-term health benefits.
A massage offered with the goal of obtaining a therapeutic benefit. It is different from relaxation massage, which is performed to aid in relaxation. This type of massage is often relaxing, but the end goal of this session is not relaxation but as a part of a larger treatment therapy. Several modalities of therapeutic massage are offered.
A Thai massage is an ancient form of bodywork that the therapist performs by using passive stretching, gentle pressure and rocking to help increase the body’s flexibility and relieve muscle tension. This is done with the client wearing loose and comfortable clothing to allow the body free movement.
Reflexology is a unique touch technique/practice that is performed primarily on the feet and hands. It is believed that each part of the foot is related to different organs and areas in the body. The therapist will stimulate different pressure points to relieve pain and promote balance to the body as a whole.
Shiatsu is a form of Japanese bodywork where the therapist applies finger pressure to various tsuebo points along the body’s 12 meridians to identify imbalances and blockages. The purpose of Shiatsu is to restore and maintain a healthy flow of energy throughout the body.
